Back to Racing
Two years post-Covid I went back to doing the local Staten Island Sprint Triathlon. This is a fantastic race for first timers, since its short, flat and fast. The road is closed during the race , and the swim is short and along the shore with lots of lifeguards
This year, my brother joined me , in my on-going rivalry with him, but alas, it was not much of a rivalry as he demolished me on the run, eating away into my 5 minute lead that I accumulated in the swim. But it was a lot of fun. My Run was particularly abysmal this year, I had a head cold earlier int he week and that I’m sure affected me..
With All that I somehow managed to grab third in my AG , that came as complete surprise..but I’ll take it
